As peculiar as it is to show off the wonders of 3D footage over a 2D format, I couldn’t help but post a selection of videos from Siliconera of Nintendo’s next handheld, the 3DS. The two-dimensional renditions of three-dimensional games begins with one of the major third party releases scheduled for the platform, Resident Evil: Revelations. Following on as if obediently trained by a stylus-waving gamer is Nintendogs + Cats that, as expected, is ridiculously cute. I’ve had a quick play with the game for myself and can see it being the frantic system seller that Nintendogs was for the original DS. Drifting fans are given a taste of what Ridge Racer will be like on the 3DS in the third video finishing off with the 3D remake of Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
Read on to see all four muted but still rather interesting examples of the bigger names coming to the 3DS at some point next year when the system is released.
