Despite the innards of Sony’s PS3 being more powerful than its competition, often developers fail to utilise everything it has to offer. Some however, do all they can to get those processors dancing and but Gran Turismo boss Kazunori Yamauchi feels it still isn’t enough for his grand vision. Speaking with Esquire UK (via CVG) he proclaimed the systems shortcomings: “Software has to be created under the restriction of the hardware. With each new PlayStation, the vessel has become bigger, but it’s still not enough.” Does this sound like a greedy man or an ambitious dreamer? He continues: “With Gran Turismo 5 we’ve made it as clean and beautiful as possible within the confines of the space we’re given – but of course there’s a lot more that we want to put in.” With numerous delays, these restrictions Yamauchi speaks of can only be a good thing for gamers otherwise Gran Turismo 5 may never get released!
