UPDATE: Sadly the news was nothing more than a budget version of the game. More details can be found here.
ORIGINAL STORY: To say that as a character, Bayonetta was a tease would be an understatement. How appropriate then that producer Yusuke Hashimoto posted a tweet (via Siliconera) with the potential to further tease fans of the brilliant hack and slash. Hasmimoto wrote “Good morning. We should be able to reveal new news related to Bayo[netta] this week, look forward to it.” What ever could that mean? New news? The first thing that springs to mind is a sequel but he could very easily be referring to yet more merchandise of the hairy lass. Bayonetta ended in such a way to warrant another game which would be more than acceptable but bear in mind that Sega own the IP, not developers Platinum Games. This becomes an issue when you factor in that the partnership between the two ends in October when Vanquish is released. Hopefully a deal is in the works for Hashimoto and his team to deliver more Bayonetta goodness. I guess we’ll find out later this week.
