New Mass Effect 2 DLC brings Liara back to Shepard

When playing through Mass Effect 2, I had high hopes for reenlisting Liara into my team after a couple of former members had already joined. Sadly she declined in order to continue her mission tracking down someone known as the Shadow Broker. Shepard did offer his services but again was shot down until now when it looks as if Liara could do with some help. A third story-driven DLC has been announced from BioWare called Lair of the Shadow Broker and although details are sparse, they do confirm that you’ll get to team up with the Asari in a mission that I’m guessing will involve this elusive criminal. With the two previous DLC packs costing 560 MS Points (£4.80), Lair of the Shadow Broker will probably be the same price. Despite some internet excitement, it’s unlikely that Liara will become a permanent member of your squad however as Kasumi was officially the last – unless BioWare have had a change of heart. With the inclusion of a favoured character, this latest DLC has got me interested in Mass Effect 2 again after being burned by the average Kasumi’s Stolen Memory add-on. Hopefully more information will be revealed very soon. More screenshots can be found after the break, courtesy of 1up.com.
