iPhone 4 finally revealed

With their announcement leaked some time ago, Apple unveiled their next iteration of smartphone; the iPhone 4. Met with a fairly muted surprise, the iPhone 4 will feature a higher resolution screen – 960×640 – a five megapixel camera complete with flash, another smaller camera on the front for video calls, HD video recording capabilities and not forgetting the multitask-adding OS 4 too. The most exciting addition from a gamers point of view is the added 3-axis gyroscope that, together with the accelerometer, allows for a full 6-axis motion control. Sure at first we’ll see a mass of games poorly implementing this feature but after a while, that killer app will come along much like Doodle Jump and Angry Birds did for the existing models. Powered by the A4 processor which is currently used in the iPad, the iPhone 4 will be more battery efficient and is out June 24th in the US at a starting price of $199 (£137). I’m just trying to figure out when I’m entitled to an upgrade…
