Super Mario Kart comes to Europe this Friday

Back in November last year, US gamers were blessed with the opportunity to download Super Mario Kart through the Virtual Console service. I can only assume that Nintendo ignored all modern technology and ferried the memo across to its European offices, somehow getting lost along the way, only to suddenly dock today. This Friday (April 2nd) will finally see the PAL release of Super Mario Kart which despite all its sequels, is still the best way to experience this iconic franchise. Costing only 800 Wii Points (¬£4), SMK supports all the original two-player split-screen modes and 20 glorious tracks – apart from those ice stages, I didn’t much care for them.
